Survival of the florists.

Wedding season has been upon us for some time now, but nothing could have prepared me for last week. Two of the biggest weddings this year for the floral design studio I currently work at, Fleurs du Soleil, hit us this past week. The amount of preparation required was unbelievable. Five days straight of long hours, heavy lifting, hot glue burns, wire cutting and more. On the last day before the two weddings hit, around 7:30pm a bottle of wine came out. It was necessary.

I was on the team for the wedding in Santa Lucia Preserve, a stunning community in Carmel. The elements of this event were so lovely and unique. Earthy flowers, moss, olive branches and air plants were all included in the centerpieces, perfectly reflecting the bride's nature-inspired vision.

Now don't you worry, I won't leave you without the usual dose of sparkle & pop.
